Leicester Tigers to float on stock market next year
Leicester Tigers, the Guinness Premiership rugby union champions, are expected to float next year and is expected to generate a significantly higher value than its current price of around US$16 million.
According to press reports, the club is planning a dual listing on either London's Aim or Plus market and the Channel Islands stock exchange. The club, the most successful English club of the professional era, generated revenues of some US$25 million in the 2007/08 season, but made an operating loss of around US$300,000.
