Bookmakers are offering widely differing odds on the chance of Everton and Liverpool sharing a stadium by the end of the 2014/15 season.

Earlier this month, Everton were denied planning permission for a new stadium in Kirkby, while Liverpool have been unable to finance their own much-needed move to a new ground. It has once again raised suggestions that the two clubs - both currently based within minutes of each other - should follow the likes of Inter and AC Milan, who share the San Siro.

Directors of both clubs have admitted - some publically and some privately - that they would favour the option, and Everton manager David Moyes spoke out in support of the notion last week. However, Liverpool remain publically opposed to the idea, and many fans of both teams are also unhappy at the prospect.

That has led to serious differences between odds at the bookies. Currently, the Daily Mirror notes, William Hill are offering just 4-1 for the two teams to share a stadium by the end of the 2014-15 season, with Sky Bet offering as much as 25-1.
