BNZ expected to back New Zealand Super 14 teams
10 November 2009 | By Adam Fraser
The Bank of New Zealand is expected to be unveiled as the brand backing New Zealand's five Super 14 franchises within the near future.
The Australian-owned bank is expected to pay around US$1 million for its association with the five franchises, taking over the role from Ford, which had sponsored the New Zealand teams since 1996.
The Auckland Blues, Waikoto Chiefs, Canterbury Crusaders, Otago Highlanders and the Wellington Hurricanes represent New Zealand in the competition, which also features teams from Australia and South Africa.
