Indian restaurant reservation app EazyDiner has confirmed veteran cricket star Yuvraj Singh as its new brand ambassador.
‘Yuvi’ - as he is affectionately known by India’s adoring cricket fans - will lend his image to the company’s future advertising campaigns. In addition, the all-rounder’s venture capital fund YouWeCan will invest an undisclosed amount into EazyDiner.
EazyDiner, which has a small monthly subscription, allows its users to book reservations for dining out in restaurants and hotels. It is currently live in eight Indian cities and Dubai, with a listing of 53,000 restaurants.
uvraj Singh is currently playing in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Champions Trophy in England and Wales. The destructive batsman – who won the ICC Cricket World Cup on home soil in 2011 then returned to the team in 2012 following a successful treatment for lung cancer - completed his 300th one-day international (ODI) match earlier this week in India’s semi-final victory against Bangladesh.
Reigning champions India play local rivals Pakistan in the final at the Oval in London on 18th June.
