Swiss soccer side BSC Young Boys have extended and expanded their sponsorship agreement with Europe's largest do-it-yourself retailer, Obi.
The chain becomes the main partner of the Bern-based Swiss Super League outfit for the next three years, having previously been a premium sponsor.
The Obi brand will appear on the team's playing shirts from the start of the 2017/18 season until the end of 2019/20. Carmaker Honda, the current shirt sponsor, remains with the club, but will see its branding moved to the shorts from the start of the next campaign.
Obi operates in Switzerland in collaboration with major supermarket chain Migros, which is also a partner of Young Boys and was their man sponsor as recently as 2011.
Young Boys currently sit in second place in the Swiss Super League, the same position in which they finished the 2015/16 season.
