Yanjing Beer retains title sponsorship of CFA Cup

Beijing Yanjing Brewery has agreed a four-year renewal of its partnership with the China Football Industry Development Corporation (CFIDC), the state-owned enterprise controlled by the Chinese Football Association (CFA), the governing body for soccer in China.

Under the terms of the deal - of which financial details have not been disclosed - the Chinese beer company will continue as the title sponsor of the CFA Cup domestic knockout competition from 2018 until 2021.

Yanjing first became title sponsor of the tournament in 2014, and has had several sports sponsorship agreements in the past, including becoming a domestic beer partner of the 2008 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing, as well as sponsoring Team China’s women’s soccer teams in 2010.

Shanghai Greenland Shenhua were crowned champions of the 2017 CFA Cup, securing qualification for the group stage of the 2018 AFC Champions League, Asia’s premier club soccer tournament.
