Wozniacki makes Babolat deal official
Former world number one tennis player Caroline Wozniacki has formalised a racquet deal with Babolat.
The Danish star has been playing with ‘blacked out’ versions of the brand’s racquets since June, despite holding a contract with rival brand Yonex since 2011.
Wozniacki’s use of the blacked out racquets led to Yonex terminating the contract but only now has her association with Babolat been confirmed.
“I’m looking for a little more power, but also a little more control at the same time, such as I might get a little more spin on the ball,” she told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet.
Wozniacki, who recently hired Thomas Högstedt as her new coach, was due to compete at the Brisbane International this week but was forced to pull out due to injury.blog comments powered by Disqus
