Western Bulldogs go back to Victoria University

Victoria University (VU) has strengthened its relationship with Australian rules football outfit Western Bulldogs, signing an agreement to sponsor the club's women's team.

The Bulldogs’ entry into the Australian Football League Women (AFLW) will now join the men's team in receiving support from the university, which also holds the naming rights for the Victoria University Whitten Oval, the club's administrative headquarters and training centre.

VU's logo and branding will be present on media backdrops and matchday signage at the Docklands Stadium, where the team will play their home games.

“Partnering with the new women’s team is also in keeping with VU’s aims to not just be Australia’s leading sport university but to be leaders in the study of women’s sport," said Professor Peter Dawkins, vice chancellor of Victoria University.
