Online bookmaker Betway has signed a three-year deal commercial agreement with top-tier German soccer side Werder Bremen.
The company, which is based in Malta and Guernsey, will become the official betting partner of Werder Bremen from the start of the 2017/18 Bundesliga season. Betway will have strong brand presence through pitchside LED boards at the club’s home ground, the Weser-Stadion.
Betway is the betting partner of four Bundesliga 2 clubs St. Pauli, Union Berlin, Eintracht Braunschweig, Dynamo Dresden, as well as being the principle sponsor of Premier League outfit West Ham United and the official betting partner of Belgian champions RSC Anderlecht.
“The Bundesliga is at the forefront of world football and we’re delighted to be a part of it,” said Anthony Werkman, Betway’s marketing and operations director. “With a number of football sponsorships in place, the season ahead is a very exciting one for us.”
Christian Rauhut, sales director of Werder Bremen, added: “It emphasises the power of our brand that Betway have selected Werder Bremen as a partner, as they take the next step in the highest German league. We are really excited about the co-operation.”
Werder Bremen finished eighth in the 2016/17 Bundesliga. They start their 2017/18 campaign on 19th August with an away fixture against Hoffenheim at the Rhein-Neckar Arena.
