The Vuelta a España, the third of cycling's three annual Grand Tours, has signed a renewed sponsorship deal with train operator Renfe.
The extension, agreed with race organiser Unipublic, will see Renfe remain on board as an official travel partner of the Vuelta.
Race officials and organisers will travel to Nîmes, France, where the headquarters of this year's 72nd edition are and from where the race departs, on Renfe trains.
“It is a privilege to be the official transport of La Vuelta once again,” said Juan Alfaro, president of Renfe. “The riders of La Vuelta are synonymous with effort, perseverance and hard work, values that are also present at Renfe,” he added.
The 2017 Vuelta a España begins on 19th August and runs until 10th September, finishing in the town of Lorca.
