Viagogo adds Panathinaikos to client roster
Online ticket marketplace Viagogo has signed a partnership with Greek basketball club Panathinaikos BC to become the team’s official international ticketing partner.
The agreement will allow Panathinaikos fans from abroad to buy match tickets securely through any of Viagogo’s 28 local language sites.
Viagogo is already the official ticket marketplace of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, the pan-European basketball competition in which Panathinaikos competes.
Panathinaikos BC marketing director Ilias Katsogiannis said: “Panathinaikos Basketball Club has a global following and we are delighted to be able to thank our international fans for their commitment by offering them this convenient new service. Our partnership with Viagogo enables supporters to buy tickets securely from anywhere in the world.”
Viagogo spokesperson Ed Parkinson added: “We are already the official ticket marketplace for Euroleague Basketball and now we are thrilled to sign a partnership with one of the league’s most successful teams. We’ll be working closely with the club to give many more fans the chance to see the Shamrocks play live in the centre of Athens.”
An interview with Euroleague Basketball’s president and chief executive Jordi Bertomeu, who looks ahead to this May’s Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in London, will feature in the upcoming May edition of SportsPro. To subscribe, click here.
