Recently promoted top-flight German soccer side VfB Stuttgart have agreed a three-year extension of their partnership with cleaning equipment manufacturer Kärcher.
The vacuum cleaner brand will remain the Bundesliga team’s third-tier premium partner, and will continue to hold the naming rights to a stand at the club’s Mercedes-Benz Arena until the end of the 2019/20 season.
Additionally, the company will be given extensive advertising space throughout the five-time German champions’ home ground, while the venue’s hospitality area will continue to formally be known as the Kärcher Field Lounge.
According to German outlet Sponsors.de, the deal will earn Stuttgart somewhere between €800,000 (US$930,000) and €1 million (US$1.15 million) each year.
Stuttgart were crowned champions of the 2. Bundesliga in 2016/17, finishing two points clear of Hannover 96 to secure an immediate return to Germany’s top tier after being relegated in 2015/16. They kick off the new campaign away to Hertha Berlin on 19th August.
