Usana signs ski and snowboard sponsorship
Global nutrition company Usana Health Sciences has taken the title sponsorship to an Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup stop and FIS US Snowboard World Cup event.
The events, scheduled to be held on 14th December at Telluride Mountain Resort in Colorado, will be renamed the Usana Ski and Snowboardcross (SBX) Cup. The financial terms of the sponsorship were not released.
Usana chief communications officer, Dan Macuga, said: “As we continue to strengthen our partnership with the US Ski and Snowboard Association and its athletes, we also look to fortify brand awareness worldwide. To have the privilege of being a title sponsor of a World Cup event is a huge honour and accomplishment. We wish all of our US athletes successful results as they prepare for Telluride.”
”Usana not only continues to provide our athletes with the nutritional supplements they need, but aids us in reaching skiers and snowboarders across the nation,” added US Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) chief marketing officer, Michael Jaquet. “To have them sponsor a World Cup event is valuable for both parties and we thank them for their unwavering support.”
The Usana Ski and Snowboardcross (SBX) Cup is set to be broadcast on NBC and NBC Sports Network.
