USA Luge extends with primary sponsor
Norton Abrasives, the primary sponsor of USA Luge, has extended its contract with the team to cover the period 2011 to 2014, taking in the winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.
The team, which has lost a number of sponsors in recent months, has had a partnership in place with the company for nearly three decades.
"That's big news for USA Luge," said Gordy Sheer, the team's director of marketing and sponsorship, to the Associated Press. "We're so happy to have Norton with us through 2014 and heading towards the Olympics in Sochi."
Norton will continue to receive primary logo placement on clothing, helmets, vehicles, hats and sleds.
