Under Armour has added IBF super featherweight champion Gervonta Davis to its stable of boxing athletes.
The 22-year-old from Baltimore, who boasts a professional record of 18-0, joins the likes of heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and Mexican star Canelo Álvarez in partnering with his hometown brand.
Davis, who goes by the nickname ‘Tank’, is already featuring on billboards for Under Armour in Baltimore, having worn the brand’s boots during his win over the previously unbeaten Liam Walsh in London last weekend.
Davis is represented by Mayweather Promotions, the promotional firm founded by Floyd Mayweather Jr ten years ago. Terms of his Under Armour deal, announced on Wednesday, have not been disclosed.
Under Armour’s stable of athlete endorsers also includes big-name stars such as Stephen Curry, Tom Brady, Bryce Harper, Cam Newton, and Jordan Spieth.
