The ONE Championship, Asia biggest mixed martial arts promotion, has agreed a streaming deal with social media platform Twitter.
Select ONE bouts will now stream live on Twitter via the promotion’s official account on the platform and can be accessed without being a registered user.
The service launched with two matches from the main card live streamed exclusively from the ONE’s Kings of Courage event in Jakarta last Saturday.
Users saw Victorio Senduk’s victorious return to ONE against Yohan Mulia Legowo and Yusup Saadulaev defeat Masakazu Imanari via a judges’ decision, as well as the card’s three preliminary matches.
Chatri Sityodtong, ONE Championship chairman and chief executive, said: “This partnership signifies the two companies’ commitment to developing martial arts in Asia and extend the reach of our exciting live and digital content.”
Maurizio Barbieri, Twitter’s head of sports partnerships for south-east Asia, stated: “ONE Championship is a true sports media powerhouse. We are excited to team up with them to increase their reach to millions of fans around Asia and the rest of the world”
ONE has also announced an official broadcast partnership with Indonesian television network, Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV).
The agreement will make all ONE content available on all broadcast channels on parent company Emtek's digital network, with all available events on free-to-air SCTV networks, including streaming on KMK Online's digital platform, Bola.com, Liputan6.com , Bintang.com, Vidio.com and BBM.
Sityodtong coupled the SCTV announcement with confirmation that YOU.C1000 will be the promotion’s official isotonic drink.
