Korean automotive manufacturer Kia has signed a contract with the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) to become a major sponsor of the North African nation's men's soccer team.
The carmaker's branding will feature on the playing shirts of the Eagles of Carthage, as the country's national team are known, for the duration of the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) international tournament.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed by the FTF. The governing body has recently pledged to boost its revenues by engaging more with its commercial partners.
The Eagles of Carthage have been drawn in a so-called 'group of death' for the Afcon, with three of the pre-tournament favourites - Tunisia themselves, Algeria and Senegal - coming up against one another. The Warriors of Zimbabwe are the fourth team in group B.
