Rugby league: Global law firm Eversheds Sutherland has become the first partner of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup in England. The company, which operates 66 offices across 32 countries, will provide legal services to the event’s organisers.

Sailing: Garmin International has been named as an official supplier to the upcoming edition of the Volvo Ocean Race. The company will provide waterproof cameras and other equipment to all seven teams competing in the 45,000-mile round-the-world event, which gets underway in Alicante, Spain on 22nd October.

Basketball: The Worcester Wolves of the British Basketball League (BBL) has renewed their main sponsorship deal with local technology company Gtech for a third successive year.

Rugby union: English Premiership club Sale Sharks have announced Goldborne, a Salford-based interior design company, as the title sponsor of their Premier Business Club, an executive suite at the team’s AJ Bell Stadium

Hockey: TVS Tyres has become a co-presenting sponsor of the Hero Asia Cup 2017 hockey tournament, an eight-nation event that begins this week in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

College sports: Toyo Tire has signed a three-year, multi-faceted deal to become the official tyre of The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and their Rose Bowl Stadium.
