Athletics: British middle-distance runner Laura Muir has signed a personal endorsement deal with Strathmore Water. The 24-year-old European indoor 1500m and 3000m champion will appear in the 'Do More' campaign promoting physical activity through the brand, which is already a sponsor of British Athletics.
Motorsport: Nascar's Team Penske have agreed a deal that will see DEX Imaging become the primary sponsor of Ryan Blaney's number 12 Ford Fusion for three races in the Monster Energy Cup Series in 2018. The document imaging equipment dealer is likely to be spending around US$1.5 million to brand Blaney's entry at Atlanta Motor Speedway in February, Richmond Raceway in April and Kentucky Speedway in July, while it will also be an associate sponsor of the team for the rest of the season.
Fishing: Promoter Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) has agreed a sponsorship deal for all of its 2018 events with outboard motor manufacturer Mercury Marine, which will receive on-site brand exposure and booth space at all FLW tournaments and expos.
Snooker: The World Snooker Federation (WSF) has confirmed that Malta will host the inaugural WSF Championships. The tournament, which carries a first prize of US$10,000 and a two-year card for the World Snooker Tour, will be played at the Dolmen Hotel in St Paul's Bay from 14th to 24th March.
Olympics: The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) has agreed a three-year renewal of its partnership with the Quebecor family of newspapers. The group, whose titles include Le Journal de Montréal, Le Journal de Québec and 24 Heures, will continue as the COC's official media partner and will provide full coverage of the PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
