The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has agreed a three-year extension with energy giant Total.
Total will remain as the official energy partner for all of the international governing body's flagship tournaments, which will include the Sudirman Cup, Thomas and Uber Cup Finals and World Championships. The new deal will also increase French-based energy provider’s brand presence across the BWF’s digital platforms and social media channels.
"BWF is pleased to extend our partnership with Total," said Poul-Erik Høyer, the president of the BWF. "Such continuity augurs well for our major events brand and we look forward to another three years of mutual success and development as we build badminton together."
Earlier this week, the BWF confirmed that the Singapore Open will remain on its global professional circuit for another four years and the governing body also unveiled a new six-level tournament structure, with four Level 1 and 2 tournaments offering million-dollar prize purses and the Singapore event, at Level 4, offering US$350,000.
