Australian rugby league team the Gold Coast Titans has entered into a commercial agreement with TFH Hire Services.
The one-year deal will see TFH become the National Rugby League (NRL) outfit’s principal partner for the 2018 season. It will be the Titans’ front-of-shirt sponsor and enjoy a strong brand presence through pitchside LED hoardings and step-and-repeat boards at the club’s Robina Stadium.
The deal also includes the naming rights of the Titans’ high-performance centre at Parkwood.
The financial terms of the agreement were not released but the Titans revealed that it ‘is one of the most valuable partnerships in the NRL’ and contains an option to extend for a further year. TFH is likely to have committed a seven-figure sum.
“Like TFH Hire Services, the Gold Coast Titans are a family-owned operation and have strong values relating to a commitment to the local community,” said Brett Thomas, managing director of TFH Hire Services. “Whilst both of us have a commitment nationally, we know where we come from and we, like the rest of the region, want to see the Titans successful.”
Last week, the NRL, which took over the Gold Coast Titans in 2014 after they ran into financial difficulties, approved the sale of the franchise to former co-owner Darryl Kelly and ex-chair Rebecca Frizelle.
