Tennis Australia has confirmed a new partnership with Chinese consumer electronics brand CHiQ.
The company, which is the second-largest manufacturer of televisions in China, will be listed as the official TV supplier of the national governing body.
The deal will see CHiQ’s technology showcased to thousands of fans via courtside signage and branding at various tournaments operated by Tennis Australia, including the Brisbane International and the Sydney International, both of which are part of the ATP World Tour 250 series.
Additionally, CHiQ will promote the partnership across its social media channels. The length and financial terms of the agreement have not been made public.
The partnership is part of CHiQ’s strategy to drive brand exposure, and follows a similar supply deal the company recently signed for the 2018 Formula One Australian Grand Prix.
Cameron Pearson, Tennis Australia’s head of major events, said: “We are delighted to confirm CHiQ televisions as the exclusive television supplier of Brisbane International presented by Suncorp, Sydney International and FAST4 Showdown. CHiQ will be the only television brand showcased at these much-anticipated tennis tournaments that will feature some of the biggest names in the sport.”
