The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has secured a strategic partnership with Swisse, the Australian vitamin and supplement company.
Swisse will be the Italian national soccer team’s official vitamin supplier from the start of the 2017/18 season. It will support the Azzuri’s players, when they are on international duty, by providing them with its products to use during training, matches and in their recovery.
“Prior to the World Cup qualifying games that lie ahead for our national team,” said Carlo Tavecchio, president of the FIGC. “We are happy to start a new partnership with Swisse. A dynamic brand that is well known to the sporting world, they share our passion for football, as well as a desire to promote the daily principles of health and the completion of regular sporting activity.”
Sami Kahale, president and general manager of Swisse parent company P&G in southern Europe, added: “We are really proud to announce that the Italian national team has chosen Swisse as one of its official vitamin suppliers. It’s a clear sign of trust towards a brand that has excelled over the last 12 months.”
Italy’s national team are set to play a friendly fixture against Uruguay at the Allianz Riviera in Nice, France on 7th June, followed by a Fifa World Cup qualifying match against Liechtenstein four days later at the Stadio Friuli in Udine.
