Swiss Paralympic has announced an extension of its partnership with Swiss International Air Lines until 2020.
The agreement will see the carrier continue as the official airline of the National Paralympic Committee for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The deal will also include this summer’s World Para Athletics Championships London 2017.
Under the terms of the partnership, the company will transport Switzerland’s para athletes to major events, and provide a package of different flight, ticketing and baggage services.
"Swiss International Air Lines stands for quality and Swiss high altitude flights,” said Rene Will, president of Swiss Paralympic. “As we want to achieve a lot at upcoming championship matches, the enhanced cooperation also fits in perfectly.”
Bernhard Christen, head of marketing for Swiss International Air Lines, added: “We are very pleased to be able to accompany Swiss Paralympic athletes even more closely on their way to international competitions. Sport creates emotions and connects people and as an airline of Switzerland, it is important for us to support both.”
