Unilever brand Sure has entered into partnerships with Premier League soccer clubs Chelsea, Everton and Southampton.
The deodorant has also signed Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard, Everton’s England international Ross Barkley and Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster as brand ambassadors. Sure will create a soccer-dedicated Twitter channel on its handle, and will run a multi-platform campaign with the hashtag #NeverMoreSure as its tagline.
Furthermore, it has also partnered with Perform Group to create the new Goal Pressure Index, which will be powered by sports data company Opta.
“We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of these three top soccer clubs,” said Claudio Bellen, senior brand manager of Sure UK and Ireland. “Soccer is the most watched sport in the UK and is a key passion point for the brand’s target audience.
“Through our partnerships with the clubs, the brand will aim to leverage money can’t buy experiences and tickets to engage with consumers, whilst also providing exciting content and unique insights to add to their overall spectator experience through social channels.”
