National Basketball Association (NBA) star Stephen Curry has been revealed as the latest global brand ambassador for Nissan’s luxury vehicle division Infiniti.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Golden State Warriors’ point guard will be featured in the Japanese company’s upcoming product and brand marketing communications campaigns.
The deal sees the 29-year-old add to his extensive portfolio of endorsements, which already includes contracts with Under Armour, JP Morgan Chase and Degree.
Curry, who ranked first in SportsPro's 2016 list of the world's 50 most marketable athletes, said: “Infiniti is a brand that I’ve known and admired because of its strong heritage of performance, design and groundbreaking technologies. I’m drawn to their brand values and passion for their craft and thrilled to be working with Infiniti to help tell stories of people who are driven to do more to realise their potential.”
A two-time NBA MVP, Curry is widely considered to be one of basketball’s finest players, and recently helped the Golden State Warriors to their second NBA title in three years, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1 in the best-of-seven 2017 NBA Finals.
