Leading sports data companies Sportradar and Beitai Digital have announced a major collaboration to bring new data solutions to the Chinese market.
The agreement will see Sportradar's comprehensive coverage distributed in China via Beitai to all of its major long-term partners, including the likes of Tencent, Sina, and the state-run broadcaster CCTV.
Beitai also provides data analysis to Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) clubs, which will now be bolstered by Sportradar's solutions.
“The partnership with Sportradar will enable Beitai Digital to provide Sportradar’s data-driven offering with strong local service support across the whole of China,” said Andy Xue, chief executive of Beitai Digital. “Their full suite of data visualisation tools and solutions from across hundreds of football and esports tournaments, coupled with the unmatched products they will have under their official partnerships will prove invaluable as we focus on delivering the best engagement and insight that Chinese fans can get.”
Carstol Koerl, chief executive at Sportradar, added: “We were focused on finding the perfect partner to help Chinese platforms and publishers provide the best and most compelling content. We know the appetite of the Chinese fans: it is passionate, it is evolving and it is exciting. Beitai Digital has established itself as the leading provider of sports content in what is the fastest-growing sports market that we see today. I am delighted we could make this collaboration come together.”
The news comes after Sportradar signed a major deal to collect data and statistics for the European Handball Federation (EHF) earlier this month.
