German soccer club FC Augsburg have renewed their sponsorship deal with Sortimo International.
The partnership, which began in 2007, has been extended a further two years and will run until the end of the 2018/19 season. According to the German sports business outlet Sponsors.de, the deal is worth €400,000 (US$445,000) per year.
The agreement was brokered by Lagardère Sports, and will give Sortimo a range of exposure across FC Augsburg’s digital platforms, as well as advertising around the club’s WWK Arena. The company will also be given access to first team players for marketing campaigns.
“We are proud that we have been able to accompany the great development of FC Augsburg as an exclusive partner in the last ten years and we will continue to do so,” said Klaus Emler, co-owner of Sortimo International. “We are excited about the game on the last day and we keep our fingers crossed for the team. Sortimo will continue its partnership, regardless of the sporting outcome.”
Peter Bircks, managing director of FC Augsburg, added: "Sortimo is a long-standing and reliable partner with whom the cooperation has always been very pleasant. We are very grateful for the trust and do our best to be a good partner to Sortimo.”
FC Augsburg are 14th in the Bundesliga, German soccer’s top flight, but could be relegated this weekend if they lose their final fixture against Hoffenheim and other results go against them.
