The Singapore Slingers have secured a raft of new and returning sponsors to back them in the fledgling Asean Basketball League.
Jobstreet.com and footwear company Croc join as sponsors, while CLSA, Brewerkz and Harvey Norman have extended their existing partnerships with the team. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the partnerships are thought to be worth as much as US$150,000 to the team.
"With the Slingers playing weekly against historic rivals in ASEAN, the corporate community is quickly realising the signage opportunities and affordable packages that can enjoy coverage throughout Asia," said Bob Turner, managing director of the Singapore Slingers.
Dixon Barnhoorn, sales manager of the Slingers, added: "This is just the beginning, the league and media coverage will only grow and we are looking for long term partners who can see the value in joining a winning team in their proud representation of the country."
