Silverbug swings deal with PGA

IT support specialist Silverbug has agreed a two-year deal to become a partner of the UK’s Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA).

The Milton Keynes-based company is to advise the PGA on its IT needs. Silverbug adds to a sports sponsorship portfolio which includes a partnership with second-tier English soccer side Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2016/17, and an ongoing association with Emirati motorsport team Gulf Racing.

“I’m thrilled that Silverbug is partnering with The PGA,” said Owen Daley, Silverbug’s managing director. “Becoming a partner of such an historic and prestigious brand is a real honour for Silverbug. This partnership shows how much the Silverbug brand is growing, because we’re associating with one of the biggest names in sport and aligns with our goals of providing first call IT services to more and more companies all over the world.”

PGA chief executive Robert Maxfield added: “Effective and efficient IT systems and the rapid resolution of any problems are key to the successful running of a business in the 21st century. So we’re delighted to strengthen our association with Silverbug and put it on a long term footing.”
