Spanish agency MediaPro has joined forces with fellow broadcaster BeIN Sports to land a package of Italian top flight soccer rights in Spain.

The lengths of the contracts and financial details were not revealed but the deal sees Mediapro show one Serie A match per week via digital-terrestrial broadcaster Gol.

Qatar-based BeIN Sports will broadcast two live matches from the Italian league per week through the over-the-top (OTT) service BeIN Connect, as it has done since the start of the season.

The agreement with comes just a matter of months after MediaPro’s €1 billion deal for domestic Serie A rights was annulled by Italian courts, with that contract ultimately going to DAZN and Sky Italia.

Mediapro/BeIN struck the Serie A deal with the IMG agency, which is distributing Serie A international rights over three seasons, from 2018/19 to 2020/21.
