English soccer giants Manchester United have announced a new partnership with sports nutrition brand Science in Sport (SiS).
The company, which is already a partner of over 40 English and Scottish soccer clubs, will be listed as the Premier League outfit’s official sports nutrition partner until 2021, and will benefit from exclusive sports nutrition marketing rights across Europe.
In return, SiS will provide the club with a dedicated performance nutritionist to advise on nutritional strategies, and it will also install a fuel station at the team’s training complex, where players and staff will have access to the company’s products on a daily basis.
Stephen Moon, chief executive of SiS, said: “Football is a major growth opportunity for Science in Sport and this partnership will provide a substantial platform for our marketing efforts in the sport, by interacting with almost 90 million Manchester United fans across Europe.
“We are proud to be in partnership with the world's most popular football club. It is testament to the quality of our science and innovation, product superiority and our best in class banned substance testing.”
Manchester United remain second in the Premier League following their 3-0 win over Stoke City on Monday. They travel to play Burnley in their next fixture on Saturday.
