SBOBet renews with West Ham in lesser capacity

SBOBet has extended but downgraded its sponsorship of Premier League side West Ham United.

Having served as the east London club’s principal partner for four years up until the end of last season, the Asian betting firm will now be designated as the team’s Asian betting partner.

Bill Mummery, SBOBet’s executive director, said in a statement released on Thursday: "It is especially pleasing that SBOBet and West Ham United will be joining forces again for the coming season which will take us into our fifth year of working together to achieve our mutual objectives.”

In recent weeks SBOBet has entered partnerships with a handful of Premier League teams, including Hull City, Norwich City Swansea City and, in a deal also announced on Thursday, Southampton.

As part of its new commitment to West Ham the company will continue to support the Bobby Moore Cancer Research Fund for Cancer Research UK.
