Brazilian soccer outfit Santos have extended their sponsorship agreement with SEMP, the Brazilian partner of Chinese smart TV manufacturer TCL.
The LCD panel manufacturer’s logo will adorn the sleeve of the São Paulo side’s home and away jerseys in both Brazil’s preeminent soccer league, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, and São Paulo’s top-tier championship, the Campeonato Paulista. SEMP was previously a club sponsor from 2007 to 2010.
The financial terms of the one-year extension were not revealed.
"The brand's connection with the Brazilians is fundamental and we see football as the perfect bridge to achieve this goal, as we are also passionate about sports," says Yue Haiping, vice president of SEMC TCL.
Santos currently lie in fifth position in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, one point behind fourth-placed Chapecoense.
