National Basketball Association (NBA) outfit San Antonio Spurs have unveiled a new partnership with fast food restaurant Taco Bell.
The agreement, which will run for a number of years, will see Taco Bell advertise extensively around the Spurs’ AT&T Centre, during all TV broadcasts and on the team’s digital and social channels.
Additionally, Taco Bell will run promotional campaigns that will see fans receive free tacos during games.
“Our partnership with the San Antonio Spurs offers strong support for our business and we are excited to be a part of such an established and well-respected brand in San Antonio,” said Mark Peterson, co-owner of Taco Bell parent company Desert de Oro Foods.
“The Spurs have such a positive impact on the community and we are honoured to be a part of that tight-knit family.”
The agreement comes just a week after the 2016/17 NBA campaign began. The Spurs have had a strong start to the season, winning all four of their games so far, including a 129-100 away thrashing of league favourites Golden State Warriors.
