TheScore, a resource for real-time sports scores, news and statistics, has partnered with electronics giant Samsung.
The deal will see Samsung offer personalised live scores and breaking news through its ‘Bixby’ voice-enabled digital assistant service on Samsung Galaxy devices.
Fans will be able to view TheScore’s sports headlines and live scores from the Fifa World Cup, the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Baseball (MLB) by swiping right on the home screen of Samsung’s Bixby service.
To access additional information beyond a score, users can tap on TheScore’s content card on Bixby to be taken to TheScore app, if installed on their device.
Users can also personalise their sports experience, selecting their favourite teams and leagues to follow through TheScore’s onboarding flow in Bixby Home across most carriers, or through the Bixby Home settings.
John Levy, chief executive and founder of TheScore, said: “This enables us to showcase the features that have made TheScore one of the most popular sports apps in North America to a huge audience, delivering sports fans on Bixby Home a highly-customizable experience and access to their scores and news headlines at a glance.”
