RTL picks up Klitschko-Povetkin rights in Germany
German broadcaster RTL has acquired the TV rights to the World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight title bout between Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin on 5th October.
WBA heavyweight champion Klitschko will face Russia’s Povetkin, 34, at Moscow's Olympic Stadium. The fight is set to begin at 9:30pm, Russian time.
The agreement comes after Klitschko and his older brother Vitali struck a five-fight deal with RTL, thought to be worth €15 million, in October 2012.
Manfred Loppe, the head of sports at RTL, said: "We are pleased that we can present the 25th Klitschko fight on RTL.”blog comments powered by Disqus
