Richard Mille to be major sponsor of Race of Champions 2009
Richard Mille, the watchmaker, will be the major sponsor and official timekeeper at the Race of Champions 2009 - the first international sports event to take place in China's national stadium since the 2008 Olympic Games.
The event, which has previously been held at London's Wembley Stadium and the Stade de France in Paris, will be staged over three days for the first time.
In 2008, the event attracted a number of famous ex-drivers, including Michael Schumacher, as well as Formula One drivers Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel and the triple World Superbike champion Troy Bayliss. Schumacher, Vettel and Button will all fly from Abu Dhabi, the season's final Formula One race, to attend the 2009 event.
Richard Mille recently opened its flagship store in Beijing.
