England’s Rugby Football Union (RFU) has secured a deal with Sky Sports for the 2017 Women’s Six Nations campaign.
In a first for UK television, the pay-TV channel will carry full broadcasts of all five of the England women’s team’s matches in rugby union’s annual European round-robin.
England open their campaign against 2016 champions France on 4th February at the home of English rugby union, Twickenham. The match will be shown live on the Sky Sports Mix channel. The only fixture that will not be shown live is the 11th March clash against Scotland, for which a delayed transmission will be available on Sky Sports 2.
"This commitment from Sky Sports reflects what an exciting time it is for women's rugby and the ongoing growth of the game,” said Ian Ritchie, chief executive of the RFU. "This is an excellent opportunity for any fans unable to attend games to get behind the Red Roses as they build towards the Women's Rugby World Cup in Ireland later this year."
England last won the Six Nations in 2012.
