La Liga leaders Barcelona have extended their longstanding commercial agreement with Turkish domestic appliance and consumer electronics brand Beko, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Barcelona-based daily sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims that the new deal is valued at €57 million (US$71 million) and will run for three years, ensuring that the company’s logo will continue to appear on the sleeve of the Spanish top-flight club’s playing shirts and on the back of their training kits.
Additionally, Beko’s branding will be present on advertising hoardings at Barcelona’s La Masia youth academy.
Beko has been one of Barcelona’s main sponsors since 2014, and its initial agreement was set to expire at the end of this season. The company is the team’s third major sponsor behind kit manufacturer Nike and main shirt sponsors Rakuten, which is reportedly paying the club an annual €55 million (US$58 million).
Barcelona are 11 points clear at the top of La Liga, and host Alaves in their next game on Sunday.
