Spanish top-tier soccer team Real Sociedad have announced a partnership with Campillo.
The Spanish vintner, owned by the Faustino Group, will be the official wine of the La Liga outfit for the next two seasons.
As part of the agreement, Campillo will produce two special editions of wine featuring Real Sociedad branding, and will sell its products in the club’s official stores.
The wine-maker will also activate through promotions across the side’s social media networks, and will be able to hold presentations at Real Sociedad’s facilities.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
"We are very happy to once again have the support of a large winery such as Campillo and also of the Faustino Group,” said Jokin Aperribay, president of Real Sociedad. “It is an honour to produce the Real Sociedad wine and be able to market the two special editions. We want to thank Campillo for the support it gives us; we will work together to obtain profitable agreements for both parties and for our fans to feel satisfied with this new wine.”
"We feel we identify with the history and values of the club,” added Paco Honrubia, general director of the Faustino Group. “We hope to achieve the ambitious goals of this agreement together, including the new projects that the club is launching such as its growing international strategy and the expansion of the stadium.”
Real Sociedad and currently seventh in La Liga in 2017/18, after winning five of their opening thirteen games. They were defeated 2-1 when they played Segunda División B team Lleida Esportiu on 29th November in Spain’s domestic cup competition, the Copa del Rey. They will face third-placed Atlético Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday.
