Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid have signed a licensing deal with My Imports USA.
The agreement with the La Liga outfit gives the New Jersey-based company full licensing and distribution rights in the USA and Canada for Real Madrid-branded first aid products, joint supports, razors, hand sanitiser and water bottles.
The partnership will further strengthen Real Madrid’s ties to the US, where they have played pre-season fixtures for the last five years.
The length and financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
“In line with our company strategy, Investment 2020, and our ambitious goals for the year of 2018, we have continued to expand our brand investments and licenses,” said My Imports USA chief executive Fahim Ibrahimi. “Adding Real Madrid to the My Imports family further expands our reach of products and licenses.
“With this licensing agreement, we aim to become one of the largest suppliers of Real Madrid products in North America as we excitedly await Fifa World Cup 2018.”
Real Madrid are third in La Liga, 16 points behind league leaders Barcelona. Despite their domestic struggles this season, Los Blancos remain on course for a third consecutive Uefa Champions League title, and face German champions Bayern Munich in the first leg of their semi-final tie next Wednesday.
