Mahou Cinco Estrellas has extended its sponsorship agreement with Spanish soccer side Real Madrid for a further two seasons.
The Spanish brewery has been an official partner of the reigning European champions since 2001. It will continue to have a strong brand presence at Madrid’s home, the Santiago Bernabéu, through pitchside LED boards. Furthermore, it will have the beer pourage rights in the ground’s bars and hospitality suites.
"Mahou has shared with us the history of madridismo,” said Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid. “This relationship is a story of real cooperation and success that unites us with a passion for football. This sport creates illusions in millions of people and Mahou has managed to capture that essence perfectly."
Eduardo Petrossi, managing director of Mahou, added: “We are very pleased with the agreement we have reached with Real Madrid. This is a historical relationship that began in 1902 and that is certainly much more than a sponsorship. Mahou is not understood without Real Madrid nor Real Madrid without Mahou.”
Mahou Cinco Estrellas has been an official sponsor of La Liga since 2007 and it has partnerships with 15 La Liga soccer clubs.
