Top-flight Spanish soccer side Real Betis have announced a new three-year partnership with bottled water brand Fontarel.
The Hijos de Rivera-owned company be listed as the official water supplier of the La Liga outfit until the end of the 2019/20 season, in a deal which will see Fontarel’s products provided to the club’s first team players during training sessions and matches.
Fontarel will benefit from extensive brand exposure at the Real Betis’ Estadio Benito Villamarín home ground, and will have access to players for marketing campaigns.
Ramón Alarcón , director and general manager of club business for Real Betis, said: “We bet on an Andalusian product in a three-year agreement, a duration which demonstrates our commitment to Fontarel. This brand has entered with great force in the sports field, and soon it will be a reference in the national market.
“The agreement has a share of consumption of the product, which is very high by our athletes, and image rights. The multi-sport character of Real Betis has also been very attractive for Fontarel.”
José Villanueva, head of sponsorship for Hijos de Rivera, added: “Fontarel is delighted to become the official water of a historic club like Real Betis for the next three seasons. We are sure of the success of this relationship that we are starting today and that will undoubtedly help us consolidate our Fontarel spring water as a reference throughout Andalusia.”
Real Betis moved up to 12th in La Liga following their 2-1 win over Celta Vigo last Friday. They play their next fixture away to Villarreal on 10th September.
