German top-tier basketball team Brose Bamberg have announced a partnership with Rakuten until the end of the 2017/18 season.
The Japanese e-commerce firm will be a third gold sponsor of Brose Bamberg, and will enjoy a large commercial presence at home games at the side’s Brose Arena, seeing its branding on the countdown clock, on LED boards, and on club magazines.
Brose Bamberg will receive its own retail space on the e-commerce marketplace.

The commitment is primarily aimed at further raising awareness of our company in order to attract qualified personnel.

Brose Bamberg finished top of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) in 2016/17 and currently stand fifth in the 2017/18 season, after winning six of their opening nine games. They beat Skyliners Frankfurt 75-67 at home on 12th November, and will host FC Barcelona on Wednesday in European-wide top-tier basketball competition the EuroLeague.
