Argentinian soccer side Racing Club de Avellaneda have unveiled Kappa as their new apparel provider.
The partnership is set to last two and a half years, with Kappa providing kits for the remainder of the 2016/17 season, as well as the two subsequent seasons.
The Italian sportswear company replaces Topper, which had been in partnership with Racing Club since 2014.
The financial details of the partnership were not officially released, although the Argentinian media have reported that the deal is worth around US$3 million a year.
Kappa recently created a one-off jersey to celebrate the retirement of Racing legend Diego Milito. The sportswear brand is also expected to create a jersey to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the club’s 1967’s triumphs in Copa Libertadores and Copa Intercontinental.
Racing Club de Avellaneda currently sit tenth in Argentina’s Primera Division, having won six of their first 14 games. The club were last crowned champions of the league in 2014.
