French soccer giants Paris Saint-Germain have partnered with Team Flash to announce a new esports event in Singapore to coincide with the club's preseason tour.

Two of the club’s Fifa 18 esports gamers will join the soccer team in Singapore for the Paris Saint-Germain Community Tournament, an exhibition featuring some of the best players in the island state.
PSG are one of soccer's pioneers in esports, signing their first Fifa player in 2016, creating a League of Legends team following a partnership with media group Webedia, as well as later branching out into Rocket League and Dota 2.
PSG appears to be interested in the potential of a long-term relationship with Team Flash. Sebastien Wasels, PSG managing director for the Asia-Pacific region, said: “[The partnership is] a first, which will be extended on the long term. Esports is an integral part of the club’s international development strategy,” he added. “We hope to leverage the popularity of the sport in this region and engage with the wider esports community.”
Terence Ting, founder of Team Flash, told The Esports Observer: “We’re excited about the potential for SEA esports brought on by the interest of PSG. Team Flash can assist the club with its entry into the market with our established teams in Singapore and Vietnam.”
