Premier League rights sold in Russia
NTV-Plus has been awarded the Russian rights to the Barclays Premier League for the 2013 to 2016 cycle.
The pay-TV broadcaster has acquired the live audio visual rights to all 380 matches per season for the next three years. The agreement follows a tender process that opened in mid-December.
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said: "We are extremely pleased that NTV-PLUS has chosen to invest in our rights in Russia for seasons 2013/14 to 2015/16.
"We are confident they will broadcast all the best Barclays Premier League action in a comprehensive and innovative manner to our fans in Russia."
Alexey Kukolevskiy, general director of NTV-PLUS, added: "We are pleased to announce that we have secured these rights on exclusive basis and that the Barclays Premier League is coming back to our sports channels.
"Starting from season 2013/2014, we will be able to offer the best of world football with the best possible coverage - four major and hugely popular European national leagues: Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A as well as Uefa Champions League and Uefa Europa League and Russian national championships."
