The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has announced a wide-ranging, four-year partnership with financial services company BPI.
The deal sees the bank become an official sponsor of Portugal's men's and women's national soccer teams, as well as the European country's Under-21 side.
In addition, BPI will be the first title sponsor of the top-tier women's soccer league in Portugal, which will be known as 'Liga BPI'. The partnership also includes support for the FPF's youth teams and a number of social responsibility initiatives.
"We are united by the common values of both institutions and the ambition of contributing to the social, sporting and economic development of our country in our areas of action," said FPF president Fernando Gomes.
BPI president Pablo Forero added: "This agreement represents for BPI an opportunity to implement a long-term sponsorship strategy and benefit from the growth of the business through the aggregating and social power of football."
