The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has announced a wide-ranging, four-year partnership with financial services company BPI.

The deal sees the bank become an official sponsor of Portugal's men's and women's national soccer teams, as well as the European country's Under-21 side. 

In addition, BPI will be the first title sponsor of the top-tier women's soccer league in Portugal, which will be known as 'Liga BPI'. The partnership also includes support for the FPF's youth teams and a number of social responsibility initiatives. 

"We are united by the common values ​​of both institutions and the ambition of contributing to the social, sporting and economic development of our country in our areas of action," said FPF president Fernando Gomes. 

BPI president Pablo Forero added: "This agreement represents for BPI an opportunity to implement a long-term sponsorship strategy and benefit from the growth of the business through the aggregating and social power of football."  

Sponsorship

English top-tier soccer outfit Leicester City have struck a one-year deal with health and life insurance firm Vitality.

Top-flight German soccer side Eintracht Frankfurt have signed a two-year partnership with digital trading platform Etoro.

In France, real estate group Launay has become the official shirt sponsor of Ligue 1's Stade Rennais for the next three years.

Elsewhere, Olympique Lyonnais have signed a two-year sleeve sponsorship deal with recruitment company Groupe Adéquat.

Second-tier English soccer side Queens Park Rangers have extended their partnership with Sportito, which will remain the Championship club's official fantasy sports partner for the 2018/19 season.

Croatian telecommunications company Hrvatski Telekom has agreed multi-year deals with four First League clubs - GNK Dinamo Zagreb, HNK Hajduk Split, HNK Rijeka and NK Osije - to cover their qualifying games for the Uefa Champions League and Europa League.

The Israel Football Association (IFA) has signed a four-year kit deal with German sportswear manufacturer Puma for its national soccer teams.

English top-flight rugby union club Worcester Warriors have entered into a two-year sleeve sponsorship with hired machinery supplier MPlant.

Staying in the Premiership, Bristol Bears have added Poplar Insulation, BS3 Services, RedRock Consulting, Heat Recruitment and Blackstar Solutions as kit sponsors for the 2018/19 season.

The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series has named Japanese carmaker Toyota as the title sponsor of the Las Vegas Marathon and Half Marathon

The German Athletics Association (DLV) has signed a partnership with health insurance firm BIG until 2020.

The Arena Football League has announced that beer brand Bud Light will serve as presenting sponsor of ArenaBowl XXXI

Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) has announced that Stanley Black & Decker's Craftsman brand will be the team's primary sponsor for Erik Jones in the Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series and Ryan Preece in the Nascar Xfinity Series for multiple races in 2018.

US Spanish-language broadcaster Univision Deportes will show Major League Soccer's (MLS) All-Star Game, which will see the US soccer league's top players play Italian soccer champions Juventus at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium on 1st August.

Spanish top-flight soccer club Villarreal has partnered with esports marketing firm Esportia to expand its interest in the industry beyond Fifa. The club are looking at League of Legends, Rocket League and Clash Royale as potential titles to move into.

Politics & Governance

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has agreed a new collective bargaining agreement with its players. The fixed-revenue share model will see the players receive 26.5 per cent of revenue generated from professional cricket, which is forecast to account for to be NZ$65.3 million over the four-year term.

Morocco has stepped in to host the 2019 African Games giving the country just one year to prepare for the multi-sport event. 

The IAAF has chosen Kenya to host the 2020 World U-20 Athletics Championships.
