Second-tier American soccer side Phoenix Rising have announced a new partnership with Lyft.
The transportation network will serve as the United Soccer League (USL) team’s official rideshare partner for the remainder of the 2017 season.
The deal will see Lyft provide fans of the Arizona-based outfit with a safe and affordable method of transport to and from designated drop-off and pickup areas outside the club’s Phoenix Rising FC Soccer Complex.
“Phoenix Rising FC are proud to have Lyft as our official rideshare partner,” said Phoenix Rising FC governor Berke Bakay. “The wellbeing of our fans is our number one priority, and with Lyft we are comforted to know that Phoenix Rising FC fans will be arriving and leaving our matches safely. This partnership with Lyft demonstrates our shared commitment to our surrounding community, and ensures everyone can celebrate at our matches responsibly.”
“We are thrilled to launch this partnership with Phoenix Rising FC and to give fans a safe transportation option, so they can enjoy the game and easily get home afterwards,” added Lyft’s southwest region general manager, Drena Kusari. “We love working with local organisations and businesses, like Phoenix Rising FC, on the activities and events that make Phoenix special.”
Phoenix Rising, in whom Ivory Coast international Didier Drogba recently purchased a stake, are 11th in the USL’s Western Conference, and play their next fixture away to LA Galaxy II on 6th August.
